What do you want to read?

As I mentionned (I think) in my last post, I've been working on bigger projects these days. More specifically, a shawl and a cardigan.

I'm loving both projects but it poses a problem as far as this blog goes. I've been thinking about what I should write about and I have no idea. There's only so much I can say about shawl knitting, especially since I've been repeating the same rows over and over and over (I'll be starting the border soon, yay!). I don't have anything to say about the cardigan because I haven't touched it in weeks, specifically because I want to get to that damn shawl border already!

Anyways. A shawl in progress looks like a blob. I could post a pic of the current blob, but it wouldn't look much different than last week's blob.

So I've been wondering. What do you, readers, want me to write about? Regular life? (there isn't much going on, really). Future knitting projects? Food? Or should I stay silent until I have a FO to show? Is anyone still reading this blog?

Anywayyyyys. As I was saying, I'm loving the big projects. As much as I LOVE knitting socks, hats, mittens, etc., there's something very satisfying about the act of making a whole sweater out of strings, you know? I just hope I can be happy with the end product, especially since I've been dreaming of future sweaters lately.

These days, I'm daydreaming about the Notre-Dame de Grâce pullover. Ha. You think it has anything to do with the fact that it's the name of my future neighbourhood? I don't know. But I love it. Now, why do I dream of big cosy sweaters when it's two million degrees outside? My mind is weird.

Unfortunately, I won't get to knit the NDG sweater for a while, since I don't have the yarn and I'm not buying any for a while. Oh well...

Tu vois, pas besoin de te casser la tête, tu parles de ton futur quartier, du patron dont tu rêves de tricoter, tu nous emmènes sur Ravelry et nous, tricoteuses, nous sommes comblées!! Bonne journée!

I've got about 3 of V's sweaters in mind for the longest time, and yet every time I sit down to knit it is for someone else. Hmmm... LOL

I will read anything you put up here. Complain about your day, more food recipes/veggie recipes, etc. Knitting stuff. Whatever you feel like putting.

Keep writing anything you want. I read it. And yes - I would love to see pictures of BIPs (blobs in progress). I take pictures of my shawl in progress and put it on my blog. I want to see what your Icarus looks like since mine has been in "time out" for about two years.

Please do keep writing! How about a tour of your knitting space? Discussion of favorite needles, yarns, tools? Pictures of your cat or cat equivalent? LOL I agree that pictures of knitting, even as blobs, are very good for blogs. This encouragement is definitely an example of "do as I say, not as I do" since I've been avoiding my own blog thoroughly.

Hey - I took a month-long hiatus, and I can't remember the last time I actually talked about knitting... It's your blog, talk about whatever inspires you! We'll keep reading.
