So Ms Tara advised me to just give in to the lace lust and I'll admit I was tempted, but it wasn't until I got a comment from Robyn that I really got THE CALL.
Robyn casually mentionned hosting an Ishbel knitalong and I, not knowing what I was in for, looked up the pattern on Ravelry.
Instant. love. I want. I need. Must make now.
I can't fight it. I must give in to the call of the lace.
I joined the knitalong and will cast on on June 19. Anyone else want to join? You know you want to...

I am new to blogger and was web browsing and clicked on Robyn's site and saw the "Incredible Ishbel"! WOW!!! I had to leave a comment to let her know what a great job she did knitting that beautiful shawl! If you are going to do a Kal with this shawl, I would be more than happy to knit this one with you, even though I have about 15 shawls on the needles right now! Oh well, life is too short...It's Summer!...I say, let's knit them all while we can!!! I left my URL with my name when I posted this comment so let me know when it starts and where! Thanks!
I made an Ishbel? She must have me confused with someone else.
I am soooooooo glad you're going to do the Ishbel-along with me!
Did you decide what yarn you'll use yet?
I think you'll enjoy knitting Ishbel, since it's mostly stockinette and then some lace to finish.
You will notice that the shawl does not finish with a point, it might be an issue or not, just letting you know. :)
That is TOO funny. Guess who JUST joined the KAL group on Ravelry? :) Casting on for June 19th? I'm SO there.
