I've been wanting sock blockers for a long time and I was looking at those beautiful wooden ones. They're fabulous but expensive. So I decided to make my own. I found
a fantastic tutorial (gotta give credit where credit is due) and I made some tonight. I swear it took less than 10 minutes. I got placemats at 2 for 1$ at the dollar store and I can get two blockers with one placemat so each one cost me 25 cents. That's what I call a good deal.

(Sorry about the bad lighting on all the pics.) The first ones I made where great but I made the cuffs a little bit too short so I tried again.

These were perfect and so pretty, don't you think? Here's one modeling Roza's sock:

Those are neat!
So cute, so colorful too! :) Did you use the 'foot model' from the tutorial or did you make your own?
Those are really cute! I should make a set for myself; I live in a neighbourhood that has as many dollar stores as anything else!

That is a great idea... I love finding inexpensive variations of knitting tools (if I could find one for a ball winder and swift, I'd be set).
